Points of use of ferro boron

Ferro Boron is an iron alloy composed of boron and iron, mainly used in steel and cast iron. Adding 0.07% B to steel can significantly improve the hardenability of steel. Boron added to 18% Cr, 8% Ni stainless steel after treatment can make precipitation hardening, improve high temperature strength and hardness. In cast iron boron will affect graphitization, thus increasing the depth of white mouth to make it cold hard wear-resistant. In malleable cast iron by adding 0.001% to 0.005% of boron, favorable formation of spheroidal graphite and improve its distribution. At present, low aluminum, low carbon iron boron is the main raw material of amorphous alloy. According to GB5082-87 standard, our iron boron is divided into two categories of low carbon and medium carbon.
